Meet Ms. Yuliana Wijaya, the founder
Ms. Yuliana is an up and coming pianist from Indonesia who has already attained national and international success.
She began her musical training at age eight privately and later on, moved to Jakarta Conservatory of Music in Indonesia and Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. She is an alum of Manhattan School of Music with a master's in piano performance. She is an active participant in summer music festivals and has performed in concerts and masterclasses around the world. In 2014, she was selected to perform with University of Allicante Orchestra in Italy under baton Dan Wen Wei. As an educator, she has years of experience working with children of all ages and levels. She found her passion in teaching from an early age, back in high school. Her students are active performers and has won numerous competitions and completed ABRSM and RCM exams. Her focus in teaching is to retain the interest and joy of music in each student while building up their ability and skills continuously Her strength is classical music. However, she also combines and introduces other genres like jazz, pop, etc., to her students. Yuliana is also an active collaborator and ballet accompanist. |
Meet Ms. Maria Malik
a Taiwanese pianist, came to NYC when she was 12 and has been living in the city since then. Maria started playing piano when she was four and got into special music elementary school when she was 9. At age of 12 she was accepted by the Juilliard pre-college division. Maria graduated her bachelor and master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music. She had been studying with professor Julian Martin, chairman from Manhattan School of Music Marc Silverman, and Russian virtuoso pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine.
Maria has a great experience with performing and ten years of teaching experience. Maria’s students have gone on to win several piano competitions and receive great results in both ABRSM and NYSSMA exams. Creating an exciting environment and maintaining students interest, are her main goal in teaching. Learning piano is like learning a new language, and everyone has their own pace, Maria believes in the importance of fostering intrinsic motivation. Giving each student the tools to become an independent, confident musicians, and discovering the classical music world with her. |
Meet Ms. Lyn-Amelia Guo
Born in China, Lyn-Amelia Guo began her piano studies at age five and was accepted to the pre-college program of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing at age twelve. From 2006, she participated and took top prices of multiple international young pianist competition and had her first public solo debut in 2010. Local media reviewed her solo recital as “…excellency in all periods of work and the mature music expressiveness won her unstoppable applause.”- (Education page, Sounthcn.com, May 2010). In 2012, she came to U.S.A for college, during her time in school, she also became an active Chamber pianist.
Lyn-Amelia held a Master’s degree of piano performance from Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, and earned her Bachelor's at College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. Lyn-Amelia launched her teaching career as young pianist competition coach, specialized in training young pianist from age 5-12, over the years she developed a teaching method that is all-around personalized music training, are now suitable for all ages of students. Her teaching philosophy is to inspire creativity within students and helping them formulate their authentic music interpretations. |
